There is a lot of support out there if you’re worried about rising energy bills this winter The average bill for households in England, Wales and Scotland is now £1,717 – an increase of around £149 a year.
Your eligibility depends on the provider but most offer support to customers facing fuel poverty to reduce their energy debt. If you get benefits, you might be able to get £150 off your electricity bill or £150 added to your prepayment meter. You don’t need to apply for the scheme – payments are automatic.
