Emergency services were called to Frazer Beach about 4.20 pm on Wednesday after reports two people were pulled from the surf unresponsive.
Emergency services were called to Frazer Beach in the Munmorah State Conservation Area about 4.20 pm following reports two people were pulled from the surf unresponsive. NSW Police said although the pair are yet to be formally identified, both are believed to be aged in their 40s.
Officers from the Tuggerah Police District are investigating the incident and a report will be prepared for the Coroner. There have been 20 drownings along the notorious three-kilometre stretch of coastline south of Catherine Hill Bay since 2010.
