The ASA found that the ad for a 'Trainee Health & Safety Advisor' was not clear enough that it was for a training course and career placement program.
The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has taken action against IT Career Change Ltd regarding a September 2024 advertisement promoting a career in Health & Safety. The ad, which appeared on a job vacancy website, was titled 'Trainee Health & Safety Advisor' and promised a job guarantee within 20 miles of the applicant's location upon completion of the training.
The ASA ruled that the ad was not sufficiently clear that it was for a training course and career placement program rather than a genuine trainee job role
