The former Footballer of the Year hit 0-4 from play as Pomeroy defeated Moy in the Tyrone decider while Cullyhana had 22 points to spare over St Paul's in a one-sided Armagh decider
At the end of the Tyrone Intermediate final, Kieran McGeary’s lips were blue and he was shivering cold. Sheets of rain had lashed down on the Pomeroy and Moy players throughout the evening, but that didn’t stop the two team delivering a thrilling decider in O’Neills Healy Park .
“We had to win a few games twice this year to be honest. Being in that situation is nothing new - you just have to deal with it when you are there in the moment,” said McGeary. “That lead probably did help us coming into the final stretch. They got their two goals, which we didn’t expect, but we worked our way back from it and clawed through it.”
“It is going to happen and you have to be ready for it. We’ve chatted through scenarios, but that all you can do,” added McGeary.
