The Pointless star and Thursday Murder Club author has opened up about his recent hospital dash which required surgery
The House of Games star Richard Osman recently gave an insight into his health scare which saw him hospitalised due to excruciating 'pain' he felt during the night. The 54-year-old revealed on his podcast 'The Rest is Entertainment' that kidney stones were the culprit, describing the experience as "unbelievably painful".
Richard told Marina: "I'm all right. I've had quite the week of it. I woke up the other night in pain and I had a kidney stone." Richard, the author of The Thursday Murder Club, has expressed his gratitude to the staff at Charing Cross Hospital in London for their care during a recent health scare. He revealed: "It was unbelievably painful but thank you to everyone at Charing Cross Hospital, who were so great. I was having like liquid morphine it didn't like touch the sides.
The NHS advises: "Most kidney stones are small enough to be passed in your pee, and it may be possible to treat the symptoms at home with medication. Larger stones may need to be broken up or removed with surgery."
