MP Emily Thornberry was grilled by Kate Garraway on Good Morning Britain about Labour's plans to ensure 'fast and fair justice'
WASPI have slammed Labour over their stance on whether millions of women affected by the pension age change should receive compensation and say "you can do better".
In an interview with the shadow Attorney General this morning , Kate Garraway asked Ms Thornberry: "Keir Starmer said he wanted time to read the report and hasn't made a commitment but those campaigning, the WASPI women, want a commitment from Labour that they will get something should they win the next general election.
"What I would say is that what we need to do is make sure that the government does respond. They do say that they are going to and that they need time to look at it and we say fine, we will give you the time and the space to do it, but we expect you to come back next week. Kate then interrupted again saying: "It's going to feel like to the WASPI women who, we've got images of you standing with them at various points and campaigning with them, that's going to feel you're passing the buck. Is that because you have too many demands on money and you don't want to commit at this point?"
