French owner Marlène Mamia, who studied in Dundee and worked as a chef for five months in Soul Food Kitchen, gathered a huge following after she began making bakes due to missing the quality and freshness of the pastries she enjoyed in her home country.
If you love pastries, whether it's a croissant whilst grabbing your morning coffee or something with a hint of chocolate, there's really no better place than a bakery who knows what they're doing.
Located at 39 Parnie Street, just seconds from the city centre and Trongate area, the bakery, called The Dorky French, is the latest to arrive on the Glasgow food scene offering the best from the classic Croissant to the Madeleine. Turning up during the weekend, we chanced it lucky with the weather and strolled along the Barras Market - which is just a stones throw away - and with the sun heating up Glasgow, we felt like we could have been in Paris.

The raspberry filling was incredibly refreshing with a nice sharp taste - but not too sharp that you'll be pulling faces whilst walking around Glasgow.
