Clare Balding was left flustered by her Wimbledon co-presenter John McEnroe over a four-letter blunder that forced her to apologise live on air.
During last year's tournament, Clare was joined by Wimbledon regular and former tennis ace John, known for his outspoken views, and Tracy Austin as they covered Ons Jabeur and Elena Rybakina's quarter-final. Tracy and John reflected on how different it was from their own days competing as John said: "I do wish in a certain way that we had all this in our heads before. But I probably wouldn’t have done it anyway.
It wasn't the only time during Wimbledon 2023 that Clare had to excuse John, as in an earlier match of Jabeur's where they were chatting about whether the weather would stop play, John made a swingers joke.
