While there was travel misery for some this morning, elsewhere the snow brought joy
This morning many people across Greater Manchester woke to a thick blanket of snow.
While the white stuff caused terrible conditions on our roads and prompted a series of crashes, for others the overnight flurry brought only joy as they got up this morning to find gardens, driveways and other areas with a healthy dusting of snow. Meanwhile many major roads around Greater Manchester remained closed or impassable this morning after heavy snow continued to create 'awful blizzard conditions' on the region's roads through the night.
Multiple crashes were reported in Greater Manchester late last night - with drivers still stuck for several hours on the M62.
