Reaseheath Mini Zoo , located near Nantwich, Cheshire, has announced the passing of its beloved Brazilian tapir, Timmy . Timmy had been suffering from worsening arthritis in his joints and untreatable cataracts that significantly impaired his eyesight. Despite the dedicated care provided by veterinarians and modifications made to his living environment, Timmy 's condition continued to deteriorate. The zoo's staff made the difficult decision to euthanize him to alleviate his suffering.
