Margaret McCabe is desperately seeking information about her son, Stephen, who disappeared 12 days ago. Police have hindered her efforts due to Stephen's wanted status for missing a bail appointment.

A mother from West Belfast is desperately searching for her son, Stephen McCabe, who has been missing for 12 days. Margaret McCabe last saw Stephen getting into a white car with a woman on the Mona Bypass on January 30th. Since then, she has been unable to contact him. Margaret has contacted the police, but they have informed her that they cannot classify Stephen as missing because he is currently wanted for missing a bail appointment due to being hospitalized.

The concerned mother expressed to Belfast Live that she doesn't care if Stephen is brought home or taken into custody, her only priority is knowing that he is safe. She said, 'The last time that I saw Stephen he was getting into a white car with a woman at the top of the Mona Bypass near our home and I have not had any contact with him since. He has been dealing with substance abuse issues and told me that he had got into debt, so I am terrified for his safety as I have not been able to speak with him for 12 days. He had been hanging around the city centre in the weeks prior to this, but I don't know if anyone has seen him in the area since. 'I have been asking police to issue a missing person appeal but they have said they can't due to Stephen being classed as wanted, but I don't care how they put an appeal out there, I just want help in finding out that my son in safe. Just a phonecall to know that he is alive is all that I need and if anyone has any information about where he might be can they please encourage the police to go there.
