One of the drivers, a 57-year-old man from Derbyshire, died at the scene
A driver has died after a crash in a Nottinghamshire village, prompting an urgent police appeal for witnesses. The two-car collision happened in Lincoln Road, East Markham, around 6.47am on Wednesday, September 4.
. The other driver, a 29-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening and is assisting police with their inquiries. Case investigator Louise Melbourne, of Nottinghamshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the man who has sadly died. His family is being supported by specialist trained officers at this incredibly difficult time.
Officers have asked anyone with any information or dashcam footage is asked to get in touch with investigators. Alternatively, please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 84 of September 4, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
