Travellers could be hit with a fine of up to €600
Holidaymakers in Spain are being warned over a possible fine if they make this mistake when using a taxi during their travels.
Spanish tourists have been told by the Foreign Office that they should only use official registered or licensed taxis, or reputable transport companies.READ MORE: Tourist warning as two popular Spanish destinations on 'brink of collapse'The gov.uk website states: "Only use official registered or licensed taxis, or reputable transport companies you recognise. Licensing regulations differ across Spain and in certain cities pre-booking is required.
"Passengers caught using unlicensed taxi services are liable for fines of up to €600. Make sure you book your taxi or airport transfer through a licensed firm."
