Morrisons customers are facing major disruptions due to widespread technical difficulties affecting the supermarket's More Card loyalty program and click-and-collect services. Shoppers are reporting issues with order cancellations, inflated prices, and a lack of communication from the retailer.
Morrisons customers have found themselves in a bind today as the supermarket's significant technical difficulties have led to Christmas orders being scrapped, with some shoppers facing difficulty claiming their shopping discounts. The retailer has acknowledged that the glitches are predominantly affecting its More Card loyalty program and click-and-collect services.
Another Morrisons buyer expressed their exasperation online: "I've just wasted an hour of my life shopping at Morrisons only to find out by checking my receipt that I've been charged £40 more than I should because the More Cards aren't working. No communication at all, so loads have probably overspent without knowing."
One disgruntled customer recounted their frustration upon being notified that their click and collect order was unavailable just half an hour before the scheduled pickup time. They shared on X, "I've got a 9am click/collect slot, been booked for weeks. Just got an email 30 mins before, to say WiFi is down so cannot go and collect yet."
The supermarket chain also advised click and collect customers to await an email confirmation before heading to the store and warned that some home deliveries might face delays.
