TxDOT plans to close part of Loop 1604 at I-10 near La Cantera each night from Wednesday to Saturday
Motorists in the La Cantera area should expect delays this week as the Texas Department of Transportation plans to shut down portions of Loop 1604 around its crossing with Interstate 10 each night between Wednesday and Saturday. TxDOT will close the eastbound lanes of 1604 from the exit ramp of Vance Jackson Road to Lockhill Selma Road between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. from Wednesday to Saturday, according to an announcement the agency made on Tuesday.
Texas State University board OKs contract for campus in Mexico The agency has set up detour routes, and local law enforcement will direct traffic, according to the announcement. The closures are so construction crews can work on a flyover ramp. The work is part of TxDOT's $1.4 billion Loop 1604 North Expansion project overhauling the stretch of Loop 1604 between Bandera Road and Interstate 35.
