Three goals before half-time condemned Watford Under-21s to a 3-1 defeat away at Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon.
The home side went ahead after only nine minutes through Sean Fusire and an error in the Hornets defence three minutes later was punished by Bailey Cadamarteri to make it 2-0.
The Hornets then conceded a 39th-minute penalty which Rio Shipston converted to make it 3-0 at the break.
