Emergency crews were alerted to the incident on the M80 between Cumbernauld and Denny just before 6:30pm tonight, Friday, February 7.

The fire service remain at the scene and no further information is available at this stage on any injuries.A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We recied a call about a vehicle on fire on the M80 motorway at around 6:27pm today, Friday, February 7.Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
