Vernon Kay has been back on his BBC Radio 2 show and revealed that there was 'lots of emotion flying around' as Zoe Ball marked her final day, having announced her departure back in November
Vernon Kay opened up about his "last day" on BBC Radio 2 before Christmas, confessing there was "lots of emotion" following Zoe Ball's departure from the show.
Nanny Gwyneth donated £30 on behalf of her three grandsons, Joshua, Oliver and Thomas, wanting them to understand that it's "easy to inspire and think of others when they're old enough to understand". Vernon was moved by the message and even asked someone to "pass the tissues" live on air. Nanny Gwyneth then extended her best wishes to Zoe, with Vernon revealing that his former Radio 2 colleague would have likely heard her kind message as she was in the corridor at the time.
The 54-year-old presenter, who is passing her morning show baton to fellow radio personality Scott Mills, was seen leaving the studio for the last time after presenting her final programme. She shared with her audience: "We've had some tears already. We don't quite know what to do with ourselves this morning, do we? I've come in and I suddenly can't remember how to press the button.
