A 52-year-old woman has appeared before magistrates charged with murder
It comes as the woman accused of her murder appears in court. Lancashire Police were called to a ground floor flat in Walmsley Close, in the Church area of the town, after receiving a call concerned about her welfare on Tuesday lunchtime .
Her name was confirmed to LancsLive by police after a 52-year-old appeared before Blackburn Magistrates Court this morning accused of her murder. Janet Connor, of Walmsley Close, has been charged with the offence and was remanded in custody to appear before Preston Crown Court on Monday . Detectives are asking anyone who saw, heard or captured anything suspicious in the area, between Friday, January 3. and 12.25pm on Tuesday to contact the police as soon as possible.
